Bali Safari and Marine Park is the island's biggest animal attraction — a drive-through safari with Sumatran elephants, tigers and rhinos, plus shows and a theatre performance. Adult packages start around IDR 650,000–850,000 ($36–$47), making it one of Bali's priciest tickets — and one of its most complete family days.

Beyond the park, Bali's "wildlife" is mostly monkeys, birds and marine life; real jungle safaris belong to other Indonesian islands. This page keeps it honest.

How to choose

Book Bali Safari if you have children and a full free day. Take the morning slots — animals are livelier before the heat — and pick a mid-tier package; the top tiers mostly add comfort, not more animals. It replaces, not complements, a Bali Zoo visit.

The Night Safari suits second-time visitors or trips where daytime is already committed to beaches and temples.

Think twice about Lovina's dolphin trips: you will likely see dolphins, but dozens of boats chase the same pods at dawn, and the scene bothers some travellers. If that would spoil it, choose the snorkeling trips where marine life comes on its own terms.

Skip West Bali National Park on a first trip — it is a 4-hour drive and shines mainly for birders and divers.

Combine animal days with an Ubud base using Bali zoo and animal parks, and plan the week with the Bali guide.
