Cookie Policy

What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies — such as tracking pixels and local storage in your browser. Together these help the Platform remember your choices, keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and measure and serve advertising. Cookies can be "persistent" (kept until they expire or you delete them) or "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser).
Categories of cookies we use
Essential cookies
Necessary for the Platform to work — including sign-in/session security and remembering your region, currency and language. These cannot be switched off without breaking core features.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| session | Keeps you securely signed in | Session |
| rt_locale | Remembers your chosen language | 1 year |
| rt-country | Remembers your country/region | 1 year |
| rt-currency | Remembers your display currency | 1 year |
| rt_consent | Remembers your cookie-consent choice | 1 year |
| rt_ref | Set only if you arrive via a friend's referral link, so the referral is credited when you sign up | 30 days |
Analytics cookies
Help us understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions and report usage.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users / retains session state | Up to 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users | 24 hours |
Advertising cookies
We use advertising and measurement technologies — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google advertising tags — to measure campaigns and to show you relevant ReadyTrip ads on other sites and platforms (retargeting/remarketing). These set cookies/identifiers and share advertising events with the relevant providers.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook) | Ad delivery, measurement and retargeting | Up to 3 months |
| Google Ads tags | Conversion measurement and remarketing | Varies |
Preference storage
We store some choices in your browser's local storage (not cookies) — for example your recent searches — so they persist between visits on your device.
Consent and your choices
On your first visit we show a cookie banner and no analytics or advertising cookie is set until you choose "Accept all". Choosing "Essential only" keeps the Platform fully working with strictly necessary cookies alone. Your choice is remembered in the rt_consent cookie for 12 months, and you can change or withdraw it at any time:
- — reopens the banner so you can decide again;
- Manage or delete cookies in your browser settings (see below);
- Adjust ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings and Meta Ad Preferences;
- Use industry opt-outs at youradchoices.com (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Platform work.
Transport links to 12Go
Transport tickets are booked on a different website operated by 12Go Asia Pte. Ltd. — readytrip.12go.asia and 12Go's own domains. Following a transport link takes you off ReadyTrip, and the link carries a partner tracking code so 12Go can attribute the booking to us and pay our commission.
Once you are on 12Go's site, 12Go sets its own cookies — including ones that record that tracking code — under 12Go's own cookie and privacy policies. This policy and the consent choice you make here do not apply to that site, and cannot be enforced there: manage your choices using the controls 12Go provides. No 12Go cookie is set on ReadyTrip by our pages.
