Chakrabongse Villas is a historic, ultra-exclusive boutique hotel hidden in the cultural heart of Old Bangkok (Rattanakosin Island). Originally built in 1908 by HRH Prince Chakrabongse as a private retreat and staging villa for royal ceremonies at the nearby Grand Palace, the estate has remained in the royal family for generations. Today, it is managed by his granddaughter, Narisa Chakrabongse, who has thoughtfully transformed the grounds into a peaceful sanctuary.
The property blends the grandeur of a bygone era with modern luxury, featuring just nine uniquely designed accommodations. These include traditional Ayutthaya-style teak houses on stilts, spacious suites with Chinese or contemporary classic decor, and intimate Moroccan-themed rooms. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, a refreshing salt-water swimming pool, and a private courtyard, it functions as a serene "secret garden" completely insulated from the frantic energy of the city.
