Spend a day at VinWonders. The cable car ride across the bay to Hon Tre island is an attraction in itself — one of the world's longest over-sea cable spans — and the park behind it packs roller coasters, a big water park, an aquarium and evening shows into one ticket, around ₫950,000 ($36) for adults. Families can happily lose a whole day here.
Take an island-hopping boat trip. Classic day tours loop Hon Mun marine reserve (the best snorkeling water), Hon Tam and fishing-village bays, with lunch on board, for around ₫400,000–₫700,000 ($15-$27). Hon Mun's coral is the reason to pick a tour that actually stops there.
Soak in a mud bath. Thap Ba and I-Resort turn mineral mud into a half-day of warm soaking, hydro-jets and hot pools — the quirky Nha Trang ritual everyone ends up enjoying.
Climb to the Po Nagar Cham Towers. Built between the 7th and 12th centuries and still an active place of worship, these brick towers above the Cai River are the city's historic soul; entry is around ₫30,000 ($1). Combine with the nearby harbour views and Long Son Pagoda's hilltop white Buddha.
The beach itself asks nothing of you: rent a lounger, swim in the calm season, and walk the promenade at sunset.
