Write your real itinerary first, then price it. A typical 5-day Dubai trip contains more free hits than people expect — beaches, the fountain show, souks, the abra, Ras Al Khor — plus two or three paid anchors (Burj Khalifa, desert safari, one park). That pattern prices out cheaper with singles or one combo ticket.
Buy the Explorer pass when your shortlist is exactly the expensive stuff: say Burj Khalifa, Aquaventure, dhow cruise, and Sky Views. Buy the all-inclusive only if you are the traveller who leaves the hotel at 8 am with a checklist — families with young kids almost never sustain that pace, and unused pass days are pure loss.
